DCCS’s application period for the 2014-2015 school year ended on March 17, 2014, and was immediately followed by a lottery to determine admission.  Lottery procedures used by DCCS complied with the North Carolina Open Meetings Law provided in N.C. Gen. Stat. 143-218.10(a).  As a result of this lottery, we offered admission to 80 students, 16 per grade level, grades 6 through 10, in this our first year of operation.  In the next two years, we will add grades 11 and 12, opening admission by lottery to rising 6th grade students each new school year.

Dynamic Community Charter School is a tuition-free public school. Any child who is qualified under the laws of North Carolina for admission to a public school is qualified for admission to a charter school. To qualify to attend a North Carolina public school, a student’s parent or legal guardian must be legally domiciled in the State of North Carolina. County boundaries or school attendance areas do not affect charter school enrollment. DCCS does not limit admission to students on the basis of intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, disability, race, creed, gender, national origin, religion or ancestry.
